Is Yor Blog Useful
Have you ever considered how you could make your blog more useful to the people who are reading it? Sometimes it’s a good idea to take a step back and analyze what purpose your blog is actually serving.
In the past people started blogs as a way to keep in touch with each other. Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter it pretty much eliminated the need for that.
Today more bloggers start a blog to make money at home more than any other reason. However, I do think it’s confusing for the average person to really have a clear picture of the purpose their blog is serving.
In my case I’ve recently started to think about how I can make my blog more useful. I want to drive more traffic and develop more repeat visitors. I guess this is known as blog marketing, but that really isn’t how blogging should be viewed.
1. Be consistent. I think this is one of the hardest things about blogging.
Once the initial enthusiasm of starting a blog wears off at times it can seem like work. This is especially true if you blog in niches you have no interest in.
You are better off to hirer an article writer that has an interest in a specific meaning if you have no interest in it. At least you can consistently add fresh content that appears to be written by somebody who enjoys what they’re writing about.
2. Interview successful people. No matter what the theme of your blog is there are people who are more successful at it than you are.
We all enjoy reading interviews for the knowledge we can gain from them. This is a simple way to make your blog more useful.
3. Current events. Subscribe to Google alerts for the keyword phrase that relates to the theme of your blog. This is a simple way to be kept up to date on what is going on in the marketplace.
It is also an excellent way to provide useful information. Blog articles do not need to be long and a short current event article of 200 words can be more effective than a longer article that really is not useful.
4. Stay focused. Many blogs lose their focus as they ramble from one topic to the next.
If you keep a very tightly focused blog on the niche you are in you will find it’s much easier to provide relevant information. It’s also easier to increase the number of RSS subscribers or email subscribers you have to your blog.
5. Videos. I like to use Article Video Robot to create videos out of articles I write. You can also submit these article videos to You Tube with this service.
It’s easy to get the embed code and paste it in your blog post. You can make these videos as fancy as you want them to be, but just adding videos to your blog makes it more lively and useful to your readers.

5 Things To Do To Cash In On Blog Marketing
Some people are perfectly happy to blog for the fun of it. However, others are in it for the money. It is possible to make money at home as a blogger.
Ultimately blogging comes down to attracting new readers on a consistent basis. You then need to keep those people coming back for more. To do this there are a few things you must learn how to do it consistently worked on.
1. Write interesting content. The best way to do this is to start a blog in a niche you have knowledge on, or have a passion for.
You’ll find it’s much easier to sit down and write blog articles when you don’t have spent a lot of time researching. Not only that, but when you write from the position of passion or experience it will come across in the type of articles you write.
Is your blog going to be informational by nature? Hopefully it will be. However, you also want to interject things into your writing style that are controversial, humorous, and so on.
2. SEO your blog posts. Optimize your blog articles around keyword phrases people are searching for relating to the theme of your blog.
Keep your content tightly focused around a specific niche. This makes it easier to build a keyword list that you can write blog articles around.
Include your keyword phrases in the title of the blog post. Also include the exact keyword phrase in the first and last paragraphs of the blog article. Then in the body of the article use variations of this phrase as it sounds natural.
3. Update your blog regularly. You do not have to do a blog article every day if you do not want to. However, at least be committed enough to your blog to update your content one or two times a week.
Many people who are busy will sit down on a Sunday afternoon and write one month’s worth of blog content. You can then publish your posts to be updated in advance based on the schedule you choose.
4. Blog comments. Encourage your readers to post comments on the blog articles you are writing. To develop some good backlinks go out and make blog comments on other people’s blogs.
You can subscribe to Google Alerts for the primary keyword phrase of your blog. Every day in your email inbox you can receive updates on blogs that relate to your specific keyword phrase.
When making a blog comment use your primary keyword phrase in the name field. This will help you build backlinks based around the relevancy of those keyword phrases.
5. Monetize your blog. Join affiliate programs and place banners for them on your blog. Also join Google Adsense and include some Google ads on your blog. These are two proven ways for you to make money as a blogger.
Doing these 5 things will help you cash in on blog marketing. You need a commitment to make your blog as good as it can be. When you do that you will attract readers on a consistent basis and that will lead to more income for you.

WordPress has many free and paid themes you can choose from. Initially you just want to get started and then you can make changes to the theme at a later date.
Search engine optimization is one thing you should do to help your blog rank for specific keyword phrases. I like the free version of Traffic Travis which is a great tool to build a list of a couple hundred keyword phrases.
If you write blog articles around your keyword list over time you will develop a solid group of articles that define what your blog is about and the search engines will reward you with high rankings.
If all of this seems like too much work you can always outsource your content needs to a blog writer. There are plenty of people who will write good content for a reasonable price. As the number of blogs you are managing grows this is a great way to combine blog marketing and a home business to create an Internet income of your own.
