Starting A Blogging Business

For the writers out on the web wanting to learn how to earn money online one of the best options is starting a blogging business. This means starting a blog on a subject you have some expertise in, marketing the blog, and monetizing the blog. If you are not sure whether or not you would like to start a blog or a static website for your online business the main difference is a blog requires constant updates. Static websites on the other hand do not require constant updates, but do not have the same interactivity with your audience. There are many free blogging platforms out on the web that will allow you to create a blogging business for free. Blogger and WordPress which you can find by doing a Google search are two of the most common. They will give you a URL, domain name, and hosting all free. If you would prefer to have a blog which is not under the restrictions of free hosting it is possible to purchase a domain name, hosting, and upload the wordpress cms. For those starting out I highly recommend using the free hosting until you know whether or not blogging is right for you.

When you begin creating a blogging business the first step is choosing a topic. This in many cases is what makes or breaks an online business. There are a few factors you should take into consideration when choosing a blogs topic. The first is how much potential website traffic is in the niche. To find this go to Google adwords keyword tool which you can find by searching Google. Type in a term that you think fits the niche you are wanting to start a blog about. For all terms it should equal to at least 100k monthly searches. This may sound like quite a bit, but for webmasters we know that top postion only gets around half the search volume dropping this number to 50k. This depending on conversion and monetization techniques will equal one to three thousand in income. Another important factor when choosing a blog topic is your interest in the subject. Far too many people pick a traffic because of traffic alone. You need to be truly interested in the topic of blog you start. Usually you will not see the full income generation of your blog for a couple years so pick something you can write about for years.

Running a blog and earning from the traffic will require daily content creation and monetization techniques. Writing everyday is an extremely important part of blogging and will be what keeps your audience coming back. If it is impossible to write everday then you should attempt to write many articles one day and publish them throughout the week. Monetization is somewhat difficult to get the hang of. I highly recommend not picking one monetization technique and thinking that you are done because you make a little bit of money. For a blog it is a good idea to start out with ppc publishing until the blog really gets going. Once the blog starts generating traffic you should begin considering affiliate marketing with amazon, clickbank, or walmart. Another form of monetization for writers is writing an entire ebook on your niche and selling it on your blog. You can accept payments with a paypal.com account.

Fueling Massive Marketing Waves With Your MLM Blog

For a network marketer who is set on building their business online, an MLM blog will probably be the centerpiece of any strategy they deploy. To a higher degree than any other online tool, a blog allows the marketer to broaden their identity throughout the marketplace while positioning themselves as a leader within the industry. Simply having creating a blog would not insure success online anymore than owning a rental house means you are a real estate mogul. In the end it is the way in which you utilize the blog that determines whether you will be able to create a tidal wave of marketing energy.

Making your marketing tsunami begins inside the very construction of your blog. The aim of your blog is to create momentum that moves outwards with tremendous force. This goes deeper than simply creating content that is good, but into the infrastructure of your blog. When the infrastructure of your blog is built for optimal performance, your articles will go out with much greater momentum than would otherwise be possible. Using appropriate systems, the marketing impact of your MLM blog should be far reaching.

Choosing the best blogging platform is the starting point for creating massive marketing momentum. Lacking the right foundation for your blog, your efforts could fall far short of their potential. For marketing purposes, the best platform is a WordPress blog that is self hosted. There are two major issues when attempting to utilize a blog that is not self hosted. The first problem being that the blogging service actually owns your content. The second is the limitation on customization and functionality. By using a WordPress blog that you host, you are able to utilize a combination of widgets and plugins that will add supplemental marketing muscle to your MLM blog.

Widgets and plugins are the heart and soul of any WordPress blog. Plugins are designed to control the internal functioning of the blog and widgets control the user experience. Your MLM blog will work best if you use widgets and plugins which are developed with marketing purposes in mind. Some of the critical plugins would be those that assist in web optimization, content syndication and social media integration. There exists other plugins and widgets that are designed to foster interaction with your reader and to keep them on your website longer.

Above anything else, it is the opportuntiy to connect with people that guides the use of an MLM blog. Your blog should be both a point of connection for fresh prospects and a place of ongoing relationship for those prospects you have already cultivated. Every marketing blog should have a lead capture system integrated into the blog. This can be best accomplished through some type of value added offer. This could include things like a member’s area for the blog or through the offer of some type of information in exchange for the contact information of your reader. Ideally, this lead capture system should really be connected to your email autoresponder to make certain that regular, consistent follow up takes place with the prospect.

Social media integration is the other critical component of connecting with people. When done correctly, a post to your MLM blog can carry your message to a very large number prospects within a few short minutes. This task is accomplished utilizing social media syndication tools. These tools automatically distribute new content from a blog to selected social mediasocial networking sites. From these sites, your content may be shared multiple times. To ensure a viral component to your social media syndication you could utilize a service similar to tribe pro that utilizes mutual syndication arrangements among its members.

Don’t settle for simply having an MLM blog, but take the time to get the most out of your blog through proper optimization.

Are You Thinking Of Starting A Weblog? Do You Have A Blog That Needs Freshening Up?

If you want to keep your WordPress blog fresh and interesting, then you need to post often. You can create different types of posts to keep your readers interested. This will also keep you from getting bored with your own WordPress blog. Whether blogging to make cash directly from the WordPress blog, or blogging to drive traffic to an Affiliate product, you should keep these five types of Blog posts in mind.

1. The Review Post

Review blog posts can help you to monetize your Weblog. You will take a close look at a product and give a review of it. This can include an affiliate link to the product. When reviewing, be sure to mention BOTH positive and negative comments about the product. Even if you totally loved the product, keep your study balanced by mentioning a few things that could have been improved. Your readers will be glad about your honesty and be more likely to trust your proposal.

2. The Quick Tip Post

In between your longer posts you can do a “quick tips” type of post. These are normally 150-250 words. Sometimes we have a lot of information about our niche that we want to share but it may not be creditable of a full length post. In that case, post a quick tip. This should be focused on ONE key area of the niche. For example, “How to Plant a Tulip Bulb” would be a quick tip article for a gardening Blog.

3. The List Post

Blog readers love lists! The most popular Blogs make good use of lists. You can create lists that fit with any topic imaginable. This is a great way to convey information online because it can be easily scanned by web readers who are “skimmers.” You can also create lists of different ways to achieve a goal in your niche. “10 Ways To Prepare Your Soil For Planting” would be a great list for gardeners.

4. The Interview Post

Interviews will require some preparation, but they are very valuable to your Blog. Interview someone in your niche and then share the results of that interview with your readers. This will not only provide useful content for your Blog, but will also bring more traffic. Most likely, the person you interview will also make known the event on their Blog or Website, directing traffic to your WordPress blog.

5. The Instruction Post

This is similar to Quick Tips as you are providing your readers with precious information. However, these Instruction posts will go into much more detail on a certain topic. Sometimes your instructions can even be separated into two or three posts or courses. Look at comments and questions from your readers to find what topic would be most useful to your readers.

As you Weblog, remember that your readers like selection. Do not always write the same type of post. Put a little variety in your Weblog to keep it fresh.

If your going to do any type of internet marketing then you have to have a wordpress blog. GVO or Global Virtual Opportunities is my number one recommendation for hosting all your blogs and getting all your internet marketing tools.

Is Yor Blog Useful

Have you ever considered how you could make your blog more useful to the people who are reading it? Sometimes it’s a good idea to take a step back and analyze what purpose your blog is actually serving.

In the past people started blogs as a way to keep in touch with each other. Social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter it pretty much eliminated the need for that.

Today more bloggers start a blog to make money at home more than any other reason. However, I do think it’s confusing for the average person to really have a clear picture of the purpose their blog is serving.

In my case I’ve recently started to think about how I can make my blog more useful. I want to drive more traffic and develop more repeat visitors. I guess this is known as blog marketing, but that really isn’t how blogging should be viewed.

1. Be consistent. I think this is one of the hardest things about blogging.

Once the initial enthusiasm of starting a blog wears off at times it can seem like work. This is especially true if you blog in niches you have no interest in.

You are better off to hirer an article writer that has an interest in a specific meaning if you have no interest in it. At least you can consistently add fresh content that appears to be written by somebody who enjoys what they’re writing about.

2. Interview successful people. No matter what the theme of your blog is there are people who are more successful at it than you are.

We all enjoy reading interviews for the knowledge we can gain from them. This is a simple way to make your blog more useful.

3. Current events. Subscribe to Google alerts for the keyword phrase that relates to the theme of your blog. This is a simple way to be kept up to date on what is going on in the marketplace.

It is also an excellent way to provide useful information. Blog articles do not need to be long and a short current event article of 200 words can be more effective than a longer article that really is not useful.

4. Stay focused. Many blogs lose their focus as they ramble from one topic to the next.

If you keep a very tightly focused blog on the niche you are in you will find it’s much easier to provide relevant information. It’s also easier to increase the number of RSS subscribers or email subscribers you have to your blog.

5. Videos. I like to use Article Video Robot to create videos out of articles I write. You can also submit these article videos to You Tube with this service.

It’s easy to get the embed code and paste it in your blog post. You can make these videos as fancy as you want them to be, but just adding videos to your blog makes it more lively and useful to your readers.

Subscribe to some of your competitors blog updates. Take a look at what they are doing and come up with more ideas to make your blog more useful!

5 Things To Do To Cash In On Blog Marketing

Some people are perfectly happy to blog for the fun of it. However, others are in it for the money. It is possible to make money at home as a blogger.

Ultimately blogging comes down to attracting new readers on a consistent basis. You then need to keep those people coming back for more. To do this there are a few things you must learn how to do it consistently worked on.

1. Write interesting content. The best way to do this is to start a blog in a niche you have knowledge on, or have a passion for.

You’ll find it’s much easier to sit down and write blog articles when you don’t have spent a lot of time researching. Not only that, but when you write from the position of passion or experience it will come across in the type of articles you write.

Is your blog going to be informational by nature? Hopefully it will be. However, you also want to interject things into your writing style that are controversial, humorous, and so on.

2. SEO your blog posts. Optimize your blog articles around keyword phrases people are searching for relating to the theme of your blog.

Keep your content tightly focused around a specific niche. This makes it easier to build a keyword list that you can write blog articles around.

Include your keyword phrases in the title of the blog post. Also include the exact keyword phrase in the first and last paragraphs of the blog article. Then in the body of the article use variations of this phrase as it sounds natural.

3. Update your blog regularly. You do not have to do a blog article every day if you do not want to. However, at least be committed enough to your blog to update your content one or two times a week.

Many people who are busy will sit down on a Sunday afternoon and write one month’s worth of blog content. You can then publish your posts to be updated in advance based on the schedule you choose.

4. Blog comments. Encourage your readers to post comments on the blog articles you are writing. To develop some good backlinks go out and make blog comments on other people’s blogs.

You can subscribe to Google Alerts for the primary keyword phrase of your blog. Every day in your email inbox you can receive updates on blogs that relate to your specific keyword phrase.

When making a blog comment use your primary keyword phrase in the name field. This will help you build backlinks based around the relevancy of those keyword phrases.

5. Monetize your blog. Join affiliate programs and place banners for them on your blog. Also join Google Adsense and include some Google ads on your blog. These are two proven ways for you to make money as a blogger.

Doing these 5 things will help you cash in on blog marketing. You need a commitment to make your blog as good as it can be. When you do that you will attract readers on a consistent basis and that will lead to more income for you.

Using Blog Marketing As A Home Business

Home business owners are beginning to catch on to the importance of having a blog to market their business on the Internet. This is a great way to accomplish many things that you could not do with other types of Internet marketing.

Some Internet marketers actually do blogging as their primary business. If this interests you then you can set up blogs and promote specific products to make money at home.

You could establish a blog and use it as sample content to sell your services to other bloggers. The opportunities to earn a full-time living as a blogger had never been better.

Many bloggers start a new blog every day and the owner quickly loses their enthusiasm to write and submit fresh content. When you consider there are literally millions of blogs on the Internet right now that need unique content added to them the possibilities for you to make money writing as a blogger are endless.

If you would like to start a blog around a specific theme this is not hard to get going. A fast way to do that is to join Blogger.com and set your blog up in a couple of minutes with no technical experience required.

This is also the perfect time to join Google Adsense and become an affiliate for this popular Google affiliate program. You can easily make money your blog with Google ads just by clicking a couple of buttons to place the ads in your blog. Google sells the advertising for you and pays you when people click on the ads.

Another thing to do is to host your own blog. I like Host Gator, but there are many good hosting websites online. Find one that has the Fantastico program for setting up a WordPress blog with no technical experience.

WordPress has many free and paid themes you can choose from. Initially you just want to get started and then you can make changes to the theme at a later date.

Search engine optimization is one thing you should do to help your blog rank for specific keyword phrases. I like the free version of Traffic Travis which is a great tool to build a list of a couple hundred keyword phrases.

If you write blog articles around your keyword list over time you will develop a solid group of articles that define what your blog is about and the search engines will reward you with high rankings.

If all of this seems like too much work you can always outsource your content needs to a blog writer. There are plenty of people who will write good content for a reasonable price. As the number of blogs you are managing grows this is a great way to combine blog marketing and a home business to create an Internet income of your own.

Quick Stat: Online Ad Spending Increasing

Now is a good time to have some “web real estate”!

Online advertising spending is increasing, in the face of some very difficult times for other advertising mediums. If you have websites that get some decent traffic, you can leverage your traffic into money, through advertising revenue. There are a multitude of  affiliate programs, advertising opportunities, and businesses that will give you a conduit to creating income from advertising on your blog, website or social website.

excerpts from eMarketer:

“Overall, UK advertising spending suffered a double-digit drop in 2009, according to several sources. But the Internet defied this downward trend. UK advertisers spent £3.54 billion ($5.56 billion) online in 2009—5.7% more than in 2008.”

“Because Internet ad spending continued to grow during the economic downturn, online marketers are also well placed to capitalize on the recovery, whether this is slow and halting, or steady and more rapid.”

“The Web already claimed a larger share of UK ad revenues than TV in 2009, according to MAGNA and ZenithOptimedia, and will consolidate this dominance over the next five years.”
